The following collections are pictures of places I have been and people I have seen. Each collection is made up of pages of oversize thumbnails, no more than nine thumbnails per page, with links between the thumbnails and the images. Click on the thumbnail to go to the picture. Once you load an image, you can go to the next image in the series by clicking on the buttons. The thumbnail in the upper left hand corner is always the first image in the series. All the images have been "minimized", and the average page size is around 55k. A short caption accompanies each image. For the motorcycle events, I tried to identify everyone in the pictures and the make/model/year of the motorcycle, but the old memory isn't what it used to be... If you see a question mark (?) or a person listed as "unknown", or a minimal bike description, send me some email so I can update the caption. Thanks!
The Canadian Assault is the annual motorcycle gathering which takes place in Canada over either the Labor Day weekend, or the weekend after. For the past five years the event has taken place in a rented summer camp in St Alphonse de Rodriguez, a small town about 60 miles north of Montreal. So far the pictures from the CA 1.0 (1994), CA 1.1 (1995), CA 1.2 (1996), CA 1.3 (1997), CA 1.4 (1998), CA 1.5 (1999), CA 1.6 (2000), and CA 1.7 (2001) have been loaded in.
Motorcycle shows. Like most fans of these two wheeled machines, I've been to a few shows in my time. On the pages in this section are pictures of the new bikes shown at the Philadelphia International Motorcycle show, and some older machines shown at the Connecticut British Iron Associations yearly 'Brit Jam'.
The Right Coast Ride is another gathering of motorcyclists which takes place during the summer months on the East Coast of the United States. It all started back in 1992 when a transplant from the West Coast lamented the lack of events in his new home. He asked some questions, made some plans, and then forwarded information--the rest, as they say, is history. So far the picures from the RCR I held way back in 1992, to the RCR XII held in 2003 have been loaded.
I went to Scotland on vacation from December 15, 1997 to January 2, 1998 to visit family and see the sights. I stayed in Aberdeen, and traveled as far south as Edinburgh and as far west as Tomintoul on Speyside. The following collection of photographs is a sampling of the many pictures I took. The commentary with the photos is the recollection of what I saw, so there may some mistakes. If you find one, let me know. Thanks!
