Got Spam?

No, I'm not talking about the packaged meat product made famous by the comedy troupe from England. Over the past couple of months some unscrupulous individuals have been using the fraon.com domain in the 'From' field of junk emails sent far and wide. How do I know this? Because I've been getting all of the messages that bounced from their intended recipient - and there have been too many to count. I want to assure you that those emails did not originate from this domain, and you have my sympathy for this assault on your inbox. I've talked to some people who make their money managing email systems, and there isn't much I can do except hope the fraon.com domain stops being used. Thank-you for your patience.

Earlier this year I decided I needed a 'get-away-from-it-all' vacation, so I made some plans and took a two-week camping road trip through Nova Scotia. I was looking forward to no cell phone, no email, no internet, and no work. I loaded up the truck and left Saturday, September 30, and returned Saturday, October 14. In between those two dates I covered almost 5000 miles, with roughly 3000 miles done in Nova Scotia. The people there are friendly and the scenery is very impressive. It seems hard to believe, but another year has passed and I found my way to Canada over the Labor Day weekend for another Canadian Assault. Tropical storm Ernesto did rain on us during Sunday and into Monday, but the camp didn't clear out like it did in 1996. You can go here to see the pictures.

The RCR XIV pages are now up on the site. You can go here to see the RCR XIV pictures. While I was at the RCR I visited the American Armoured Forces Tank Museum in Danville, Virginia. Quite a place - and they have more than just tanks on display. You can go here to see the Tank Museum pictures.

The site showcases some of the photographs I've taken since 1992. You won't find a flashy color scheme or cutting edge animations here, but you will find lots of pictures. Many of the pictures are on the theme of motorcycles, be it gatherings or shows, and there are over 3700 pictures on the site. Most importantly, this site is not about me the motorcycle enthusiast or photographer, but about the people and places I've seen through the lens.

The site is divided into six sections around each major group of photographs in the collection:

'AAF Tank Museum' has pictures from my visit to the American Armoured Foundation Tank Museum in Danville, Virginia.

'The Canadian Assault' is an annual motorcycle gathering taking place since 1994 just north of Montreal, Canada.

'Motorcycle Shows' document new and old machines on display at several events on the East Coast of the United States.

'Nova Scotia' has pictures from my two-week camping road trip to Nova Scotia in 2006.

'The Right Coast Ride' is another annual motorcycle gathering held during the summer in the eastern United States.

'Scotland' has pictures from a vacation I took there at the end of 1997.

The motorcycle related groups of photographs are further divided by year or event.

You can preview the pictures using gallery pages with thumbnails that link to larger images with captions. For each image, there is the option to view either a small picture or a large picture. 'Small view' is suggested for dial-up users with screens of either 800 by 600 or 1024 by 768 resolution. 'Large view' is suggested for broadband users with screens 1152 by 768 or larger resolution. Of course, the image size you decide to view is up to you!
